Website Design Belfast

This blog post will be the first in a series of educational blogs based around marketing and website design. Through my experience of working alongside many organisations across Belfast and Ireland developing websites I’ve learnt quite a few things. A lot of people don’t want to spend the money to create a nicely designed, slick, responsive and search engine optimised website. People usually just settle for the bare minimum and their only goal is to keep the costs as low as possible. This is one of the biggest flaws with working in website design Belfast and across Ireland. The issue is down to a lot of people not seeing the big picture, people are focused on having a website because they think they must and don’t understand how a website opens up a new marketing platform for them because they don’t ‘sell online’. People need to understand a website is more than just something you can throw up overnight. A nicely designed website with search engine optimisation gives your organisation a new way to market to your audience. It gives your organisation a new way to generate leads and sales for your business and is one of the best ways to communicate and keep your customers up-to-date with everything happening within your business.

One of my biggest issues with website design Belfast and across Ireland is that when you’re discussing website creation and website content with a client they don’t consider all the aspects of having a website. Decision makers need to learn the complexity behind a website and how website design works rather than just looking at how nice a website is. Yes, a nice website is good for business, but what’s the point having a nice website that no one is going to find online due to a lack of quality search engine optimisation? There is a lot more that goes on behind a nice website that must be taken into consideration for organisations to succeed online.

During my next few blog posts I will be explaining how website design works by going through different aspects of creating a solid well-rounded website. Creating a website is more than just website design now, it has a lot to do with marketing and can even open up a new channel to communicate with your current and future customers, digital marketing is continuing to grow around the world and it’s time for Northern Irish businesses to get ahead of the curve and get digital, it’s time for organisations to learn how to market online and realise there’s more to a website than just looking good.
